Mildred Priscilla (Cote) Gionet of Lincoln, NH passed away August 12, 2024, at the age of 89.
Mildred was born in Ashland, NH on March 21, 1935, to George T. Cote and Helen (Harding) Cote. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Gionet, after 67 years of marriage, her sister Virginia Sargeant formerly of Campton, NH, and her brother, George "Skip" Cote of Arkansas.
Mildred married on October 25, 1952. She moved to Salzburg, Austria until returning to Lincoln in1954 as Edmond was serving in the U. S. Military in Salzburg.
Mildred was a waitress at the "Charcoal Hearth Restaurant" and "Woodwards Motor Lodge Restaurant" along with being a cocktail waitress at Loon Mountain, all located in Lincoln, NH. Mildred also assisted the Lin-Wood High School hospitality class with hospitality training at the restaurant located at the Lodge of Loon Mountain. She loved spending time, in her earlier years, at her parents' camp on Little Squam Lake in Holderness, NH. She was an avid skier in the day, loved doing crafts, knitting, crocheting but was best known for her homemade piccalilli relish, various pickles, jams, jellies and her famous salad dressing, all so delicious. She loved watching the New England Patriots, no matter the time it was broadcast, cheering them on while cussing out the other team. Annually Mildred and Edmond had huge gatherings of lobster, steaks, drinks, horseshoes etc. for various occasions with friends and family both at their Lincoln home and their farm in Jefferson, NH. Many cherished memories were made.
Mildred was a communicate of St. Joseph Church. She is survived by her three daughters and their families: Pamela and Richard Bliss of Arvada, Co., Teri Gionet of Nashua, NH and Tammy Gionet Dutilly of Lincoln, NH., Nine grandchildren: Heather, Josh, Courtney, David, Brittany, Alexis, Morgan, Hayley, and Edna. Twelve great grandchildren: Austin, Kaylee, Taylor, Carter, Colton, Baze, Devon, Jacob, Roman, Colton "G", Oliver, Jonathan, Three great-great grandchildren: Odin, Elodie and Elyse.
Mildred will be greatly missed by all who experienced her love for family, friends and life.
There will be no public calling hours or services per her wishes.
