Mildred E. "Millie" Glavine

Mildred (Millie) E. Glavine, Age 86, wife of the late Frederick J. Glavine, died peacefully Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Emerson Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was proudly born in Billerica on June 17, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Frederick E. Towle and Alice R. (Chase) Towle.

She worked in administrative positions at BCBS in Boston and Shawsheen Technical High School. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and nurturing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Hallmark holiday movies with her cat Buttercup. While her spirit will always shine bright, Christmas with the family was her favorite time of the year.

Millie attended the Howe High school where she met her beloved "Fred." They were married for over 62 years and resided in Billerica their entire life.

One of her favorite past times was watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's' activities and sporting events. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Debbie McBride and her husband John of Billerica, her sons Fred Glavine of Georgia, Tom Glavine and his wife Christine of Florida and Michael Glavine and his wife Carissa of Lexington. She is survived by 10 loving grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Harold Towle and his wife Joni and the late William Towle. She will be dearly missed by her loving family "The Condons."

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 28, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
