Mildred Timms Hurst, age 89, of Chatsworth, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023,
Mildred was a member of Homeland Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hurst; son, Michael Hurst; parents, Grady and Annie Timms; sister Janette Robinson; brother, Paul Timms.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Jeff Simpson of Tunnel Hill; daughter-in-law, Marie Hurst of Calhoun; grandchildren. Joshua (Claire) Hurst of Pinson Al, Nathaniel (Haley) Simpson of McDonald TN, Matthew Simpson of Seattle WA; sisters Janelle Timms Robinson, Mary Jane Timms Thomas; brother Clyde Timms; special friends, Thelma Padgett, Kevin McClure; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mildred Hurst will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. The interment will be in the Faith Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
