Mildred Joyce Thompson

Mildred Joyce (Warren) Thompson passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Greenville, Texas at the age of 91. She was born on February 22, 1934. in Wolfe City, Texas to parents Lum Curtis Warren and Lizzie Lee (Woodard) Warren. She graduated from Wolfe City High School as Valedictorian in 1951.

Joyce started attending First Baptist Church of Wolfe City when she was 4 years old and was later baptized in the church in 1946.

Joyce married Billy Eugene Thompson on July 9, 1953, in Wolfe City, Texas. They were together until his death in 2018.

She managed Billy's TV shop, Thompson TV, for many years. She loved vacations traveling to Colorado. But most of all she loved taking care of her home and family.

Joyce is survived by her two children, Patricia Thompson and Linda Neaville, sisters in law Jane Thompson Hall and Betty Thompson, nieces and nephews, Cheryl Thompson Williams and her husband Jeff, Steve Thompson and his wife Erica, and Julie Thompson. She is also survived by grand nieces and nephews, Alaina, Jake, Lindsay, and Rachel plus their children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lum and Lizzie Warren, her husband Billy Thompson, her brother Ralph Warren, son in law William E. Neaville Jr., two brothers in law J.T. Thompson and Ray Thompson, and two nephews Jimmy Warren and Brian Thompson.

Services will be conducted by Bro. Tim Hearn and Music conducted by Bryant Ed "Pancake" Hill.

A come and go visitation will be held at RW Owens Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 10am to 12:30pm. A graveside service will be held the same day at 2:00pm at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.

In lieu of flowers donations to Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association would be appreciated.
