Lydia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, for Mildred LaBiche Adams, 84 who passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Patoutville.
Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Monday, from 8:00 am until 9:15 am.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
A resident of Lydia, Mildred was born on September 4, 1940, to the late Milton LaBiche, Sr. and Annie Lee Judice LaBiche Bourgeois. She married the love of her life, Malcolm, on April 30, 1960. She served as Registrar of Voters in Iberia Parish from 1985 until retiring on November 1, 2017. She also served as the Chief Deputy in that office from 1976 to 1985. Mildred took great pride and enjoyed carrying out the duties of Registrar of Voters Office. She and Malcolm made many earnest lifelong friends in her service to the State of Louisiana. They had a special devotion to their grandchildren and especially to their great grandchildren. Mildred enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Malcolm Adams; children, Bret Anthony Adams (Donna Segura Adams), and Jill Adams Berwick (Nicholas Berwick); grandchildren, Amanda Shea (Edward Scott Shea), Melanie Latour (Jared Latour), Alex Adams (Callie Adams), Andre Adams (Tyler Adams), and Brycen Hammon (Jade Hammon); several great grandchildren; brother, Richard LaBiche (Dynell); sisters-in-law, Rita LaBiche, Shirley LaBiche, and Donna LaBiche.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Patricia LaBiche, Chris LaBiche, James LaBiche, Bill LaBiche, and Dolly LaBiche Guidry and her husband, Andrew Guidry, Jr.
Pallbearers include Brycen Hammon, Alex Adams, Andre Adams, Edward Scott Shea, Jared Latour, Nicholas Berwick and a special pallbearer, Bret Anthony Adams.
Honorary pallbearers include, Amanda Shea, Melanie Latour, Callie Adams, Tyler Adams, Jade Hammon, Jennifer Lea LaBiche, Edward Shea, Emile Adams, Eastin Hammon, Matthew Shea, Laughlin Latour, Callen Hammon, Jean-Luc Adams, Thomas Shea, Henri-Thomas Adams, Blake Eden Adams, and baby girl Adams, due to arrive next month.
