Mildred Ellen (Satterfield) Potts, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her family, peacefully passed away on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 10, 1938, in Sedalia, Ohio, to Ralph and Charlene (Reid) Satterfield, Mildred's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her passion for nurturing others.
Mildred graduated from Midway High School in 1955 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Robert "Bill" Potts, on October 18, 1955. Together, they created a warm and loving home, raising four children with joy and dedication. An amazing homemaker, Mildred also enjoyed working as a beautician and made a lasting impact through her volunteer work in the Midway school library. She had a deep love for flowers, cooking, and above all, cherishing every precious moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her devoted daughters, Kimberly Milstead and Amber (Claude) Toppings, as well as her son Bill (Melissa) Potts. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Sherry Boyd, and her grandchildren: Preston (Cory) Milstead, Sarah Milstead, Jessica Dean, Nathan (Beth) Toppings, Erin Potts, Amber Padia, Riley Padia, Mason Kolb, Millie Hope Potts, and Matilda Hope Potts. Additionally, she leaves behind great-grandchildren Emma, Olivia, Trey, Layla, Timmy, Seage, Aria, and Oliver, along with numerous family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bill" Potts, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years, her daughter Julie Ann Potts, her parents, and siblings Darrell Satterfield, Jim Satterfield, Herb Satterfield, Frances Scott, Billie Marie Satterfield, and brother-in-law Tim Boyd.
The family invites friends and loved ones to a graveside service scheduled for October 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Range Township Cemetery, located at 551 SR-323, London, Ohio 43140.
