Mildred “Mickie” L. Rainaldi, age 96, a longtime resident of Plymouth, passed away on December 8, 2025.
Mickie was born in Springdale, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1929, to her parents, the late Helen (née Milosky) and John Razelun. She is finally reunited with her departed siblings, Helen Bodzuich, John Razelun, and Alberta Takach.
Mickie proudly served her country in the United States Navy, which provided her the opportunity to get an education at Slippery Rock University, where she then became a teacher in Pittsburgh. After her husband’s death, while raising her two children, she earned a master’s in education at Eastern Michigan University in the field of special education.
Mildred provided her children with many diverse experiences, such as NASCAR, U of M football games, the Detroit Symphony, DIA, and shows at the Fisher Theatre.
Mickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 10 years, William G. Rainaldi. She was the loving mother of two children – William (Beverly) Rainaldi and Rosalind (Paul, deceased 2007) and grandmother of Hannah (Marite Godoy) Rainaldi, Sofia Rainaldi, Caroline Cormier, Connor Cormier and Basil Cormier. She was the loving aunt of John Razelun and Karla Rafferty.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Visitation will resume on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, Michigan.
Mildred will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, and a luncheon will follow at Compari’s On the Park Italian Restaurant, 350 South Main Street in Plymouth, Michigan.
Those who wish to honor the memory of Mickie L. Rainaldi are invited to consider a contribution to PBJ Outreach (a non-profit that feeds and clothes the poor), Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, Michigan 48170.
Contribution envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
