Mildred Mae (LaMar) Sears, 89, of Cadyville died Monday, December 16, 2024 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Morrisonville on January 27, 1935, the daughter of Leo and Phoebe (Parrish) LaMar.
Millie met the love of her life Ronnie while working at Woolworth's in Plattsburgh, NY. They were married on September 10, 1955. Millie and Ronnie spent the next 69 years creating a loving and beloved family of six daughters, four sons-in-law, seven granddaughters, three grandsons, five great granddaughters and five great-grandsons.
Throughout her life she loved gardening, baking, knitting, crocheting, fishing and also tried her hand at golfing! She loved camping with her family at Macomb Park, Taylor Pond and especially at their camp on Chateauguay Lake where many parties and good times were spent with her ever-growing family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 69 years, Ronald Joseph Sears; 5 daughters, Peggy (Gene) Desrocher, Jill (Mike) O'Connell, Judy (Chub) Rock, Lisa (Neil) Bowlen, and her favorite of all, Heather Sears; her grandchildren, Armene (Tom) Baughn, Ashley (Chris) Kostyk, Meghan O'Connell, Ronnie (Courtney) Rock, Jacob (Monique) Rock, Amber O'Connell, Phoebe St. John (Lucas Rugar), Nick (Meg) Rock, Elli (Matt) Pray and Mia Bowlen (Joey Forker) and ten great grandchildren, Silas, Sadie, Alice, Rex, Carson, Aubrey, Landon, James, Maizy and Hazel; her sisters, Bonny (Jim) Devan, Linda (Gary) Hamel, and Theresa (Jim) Collins; her brother John (Donna) LaMar; her brothers-in-law, Carl (June) Sears and Craig (Colleen Petrosky) Sears; along with so many other dear family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Joan "Pammie" Sears (November 11, 2024); sister, Barb (Jim) Bola; brothers, Leon (Carol) LaMar, Adrian LaMar and Donald a.k.a. Duck LaMar; sisters-in-law, Dianne (Johnny) Goddeau and Jane Sears; and brother-in-law, Jim (Joan) Sears.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1 PM at St Alexander's Church, 1 Church Street, Morrisonville, with Rev. Christopher Looby, parish priest celebrating.
