Ms. Mildred Marie Shafer, age 87 of Ridgeview Circle, Dry Ridge, Kentucky formerly of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday morning at her residence.

She was the mother of Troy K. Shafer of Georgetown, Kentucky, Brenda L. Shafer and Donna B. Marlin both of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of Troy K. Shafer, II of Heiskell, Tennessee and Amy L. LaLonda of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was the great-grandmother of Maecyn, Sawyer, Seth, Ethan, Anna, Aibhlinn and Tommy. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Graveside services and burial for Ms. Mildred Marie Shafer will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the Corn Creek Cemetery in Whitley Co. Kentucky with Rev. James Paul officiating. There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital, St. Jude's Hospital or to a charity or church of your choice.
