September 9, 1935 - October 12, 2025 Mildred Faye Neeley Tatum, 90, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Bakersfield, CA. She was born on September 9, 1935, in Branch, Arkansas to Bill and Opal Neeley. Mildred grew up in Monroe, Oklahoma and came to California in 1951. She attended Maricopa High School in Maricopa, CA and raduated in 1954. After high school Mildred moved to Los Angele to work in finance. When she returned to Lamont she worked al Lamont Lumber Company, Osborne Johnson Ins., and retired from Finance & Thrift after 27 years as a loan officer. Mildred married Bob Tatum in 1956 in Lamont, CA. They were happily married for 50 years. They had their only child Demaryous Ann Tatum on November 23, 1961. Mildred is survived by her sisters, Marge Story, Carolyn Neeley and Linda Moss all of Bakersfield, CA., brother, Farrell Neeley of Lamont, CA., brother-in-law, Randy Moss of Bakersfield, CA. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Tatum, her daughter, Demaryous Tatum, her parents, Bill and Opal Neeley, mother-in-law, Margaret Tatum, brother Joe Neeley, brother-in-Law, John Story and Nephew, Ryan Neeley. A special Thank You to Devoted Heart Senior Care House Pizaline Cristie Osuna, Liza Fortun, Leonora Vinluan, Bristol Hospice Staff and Zeny Toledo. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, 11:00AM South Kern Cemetery District 15543 South Vineland Rd.
