Miljka Maksic Obituary
Miljka was a woman with an extraordinary life story and unwavering commitment to poetry and religion. She received her education in Belgrade, where she graduated from secondary and higher economic schools.
Love took Miljka across the ocean, first to San Francisco and then to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she spent decades with her husband.
The last years of her life she spent in sunny Florida, filling her days with writing poetry and leaving her mark in literary circles. Miljka's poetry was a reflection of her soul-subtle, deep, and inspiring.
Miljka is survived by her husband, Miroslav Maksic, family members in Serbia, and a brother, nephew, and niece.
Services will be held at
Farley Funeral Home- North Port

February 17th 2025
Visitation: 12:00pm-1:30pm
Funeral: 1:30pm-3:00pm

Was such a lovely person with a big heart. I lost touch with her when she moved to Florida. What a tragic loss. My she rest in Peace and soar with the Angels.
