Graveside services for Mrs. Millicent “Millie” Terney Wilkinson will begin at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Enterprise Cemetery with Fr. Augustine Pallimattam officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. The Wilkinson Family will receive guests from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to departure to the cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Millicent Terney Wilkinson, who departed this life peacefully, while sleeping, on October 3, 2025, at the age of 86. She was at her second home in Oxford, having just days sooner attended the Ole Miss victory over LSU with friends and family.
Mrs. Wilkinson grew up in Clarksdale, MS and left there to attend Nursing School at St. Joseph’s in Memphis then to onto Barnes in St Louis to train to be a Nurse Anesthetist. She worked in Jackson, Hattiesburg, and Memphis before settling in Meridian with her husband Charlie. She enjoyed cooking and reading cookbooks, walking and playing bridge with friends. She loved travelling and spending time in Oxford cheering on the Rebels. She was devoted to her family and loyal to her friends. She attended St Patrick Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Brian Wilkinson, and his wife, Francie; her daughter, Hope Wilkinson; her grandchildren, Sadie Wilkinson Jones and husband Rife, and Eli Wilkinson; her brothers, Joey, Michael, and Mark Terney, and her sister, Camille Terney Sommers, nieces and nephews, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Wilkinson, and her parents, Agnes and Joseph Leo Terney.
In lieu of flowers, the Wilkinson Family requests donations be made to the Baptist Anderson Cancer Center Benevolence Fund or the charity of your choice.
