Milton Dennis Forbes was born on May 30, 1946, and passed from this life on August 31, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Milton bravely served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in December 1969 in Norfolk, Virginia. A few years later, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Littrell, in Liberal, Kansas.
He began his civilian career working for the Rock Island Railroad in Liberal as a car inspector. He also attended a local vocational technical school there, graduating from the carpentry program. Milton later returned to Arkansas City, Kansas, where he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, before eventually relocating to Oklahoma City. He retired in 2008 after a dedicated career with the City of Oklahoma City Maintenance Department.
