Milton W. Gossett of New Palestine, IN, passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born in Houston, TX, on January 15, 1942, to parents, Milton and Catherine (Brougher) Gossett.
Milton worked for Wonder Bread delivering to numerous locations downtown for over 30 years. Milton and his wife, Donna spent 24 years owning and operating Restaurant and Bar Free Spirit Lounge. He was a talented self-taught carpenter, handyman, and landscaper completing numerous projects around his home and community. Milton was a football enthusiast and longtime Colt’s fan. He often enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trying his luck at the casino. Milton could be found on the golf course getting in a round or two. He had a big heart for both his family and his furry friends. Milton loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Milton married Donna on March 11, 1978 they spent 45 wonderful years together, she survives. He is survived by children, Laurie Crain, Cary (Dana) Gossett, and Tiffany Neely; daughter in law, Lynne Gossett; grandchildren, Ashley D., Randy Jr., Jacki, Connor, Ashley J., Harley, Brenda, Chris, Stephanie and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Jaedon, Oakley, and Jasper; siblings, Shirely Cheney, and Gary Gossett; fur babies, Lexi and Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Randy Gossett and Todd Neely; son in law, James Crain; siblings, Jeff Gossett, Mary Pankey, Kevin Gossett, and Steve Gossett.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society.
Visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm, Thursday, February 1, 202, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Burial will follow funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
