Cindy Walker, 57, passed away peacefully on March 13th, 2026. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 14,1968 to the late Arch and Ruth Hogston. Cindy grew up in Indianapolis and attended Arlington High School.
On January 20, 1990, Cindy married the love of her life, Ricky Walker. They shared 40 wonderful years together, creating a beautiful family and a life well lived. Cindy worked as a caregiver of the elderly for many years. Cindy was a loving woman with a big heart. She adored her family and was proud to be called “Grandma”. She enjoyed trips to the beach, the sound of rain on a stormy night and spending time with her grandbabies.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Ricky, children: Ricky Walker II (Cynthia), and Katelynn Stacy (Aaron), grandchildren: Michael, Drake, Ashtynn, Jaxson and Hayden, siblings: Chris, James, Linda, William, Rick, Rhonda, Shawna, Thomas, Pamela, Stephanie and Sherry, along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Lois, brothers George, Luther, Danny and Johnny. Cindy’s life was devoted to her family and will always be remembered for her kind, loving heart.
Visitation for Cindy will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East from 11am-2pm. Her funeral will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
