Milton H. Henderson, Jr., affectionately known as "Duke" was born on January 16, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH to Milton H. Henderson Sr. and Mary Jackson.
After completing high school, he joined the Navy where he served honorably until he retired after 21 years of service. However, he was not ready for the retired life. He went on to work for the Postal Service for 23 years and then became a double retiree.
This time, after retirement, Duke enjoyed spending time with his wife of 63 years, Ella M. Carter Henderson, their daughters, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. He was often seen being the chauffeur for his wife and her friends.
Duke began to experience health issues in the last few years. He was placed under Hospice care in 2020, but God said not yet, and he graduated out of the program.
After allowing us more precious time with him, God in His infinite wisdom called Duke home on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Although we love him dearly and will miss him until the end of time, we know God loves him best.
Duke was proceeded in death by his parents, several siblings, and loved ones.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Ella Henderson; Children, Michele and Donovan Trimble, Kellye and Amos Watts Jr.; Honorary Children, Stacy Cuthbertson, Robin Cuthbertson; Grandchildren, Corizon Trimble, Lauren Watts, Corbin Trimble, Deneane Watts, Michael Trimble; Honorary Grandchild, Nicole Cuthbertson; 4 great grandchildren; Sisters, Margaret Henderson, Tina Holland, and Hattie Trent; Brother, George Henderson; Brothers-in-law, James Carter (Tina) and Donald Carter; Godchildren, Charles Bennett, Erica Trent Sibley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
