A native of Hertford County, NC, he was born on February 9, 1943, to the late Albert Parker and Lois Mitchell Parker.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Richardson Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Bernice Parker; one son, Marlon Parker (Tasha) of Newport News, VA; four bonus children, Roland Love (Jessica), Mark Love (Jill) both of Charlotte, NC, Kevin Love (Cheyenne) of Chesapeake, VA and Crystal Holley (Joshua) of Durham, NC; one grandchild; fourteen bonus grandchildren; two bonus great grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Fultz (Derrick), Selma Barcliff both of Hampton, VA and Mary Lois "Annie" Brown of Augusta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
