Milton Suchon Obituary
Milton E. "Blackie" Suchon, 96, of Conway, S.C., formerly Palmerton, died on Jan. 9, 2026, in his home.
He was a pipefitter working in construction for most of his life.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Dominic Suchon and Mary (Kasha) Suchon.
Blackie had a lifelong commitment to sports in his hometown of Palmerton and Carbon County. He was inducted into the Carbon County Sports Hall of Fame in May of 2000.
Milton spent his last years living in South Carolina with his son Jim and wife Tammy.
Surviving in addition to his son and daughter-in-law are three other sons, Kirk, and wife, Barb, of New Tripoli, Mark of Ovilla, TX, and Darrin of Palmerton; a stepdaughter, Nadine Schmidt of Palmerton; 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Aaron, Garrett, Roberta, Pauley, Jereme, Jessyca, Joshua and Stephen; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by his son Micky; and a grandson, Thomas Jr.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow the service in the Towamensing Cemetery, Third Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.

My husband, Deac, and I met Blackie at ICC church in JT. He was a companion to Rita O´Donnell for several years. What a kind, gracious man. He was also a devoted Christian and a good friend. He made the best out of life
