Mindy A. Hilla, 69, of Rogers City, passed awayFriday morning May 16, 2025 at Medilodge of Rogers City.
The daughter of the late Doug and Sylvia (Sepeter) Potter was born on August 27, 1955, in East Lansing. Mindy was a 1973 graduate of Lansing Waverly High School. She continued her education at Western Michigan University, graduating in 1977, with a business degree. In 1981, she married John Bourque, their marriage was cut short as he passed away from injuries from an accident in 1984. She moved to Rogers City in 1984 and managed Doug Potter Car Dealership until 2013. She then briefly worked at Mike Lynch Ford Dealership until her retirement.
She met Charlie Hilla, and after a brief courtship,they were married on May 14, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She looked forward to music and movie nights with her “girls”, enjoying pizza and wine. Mindy was a pet lover, enjoying her dog, Winston, and cats.
Surviving are her husband Charlie, a brother Mark (Lori Budnik) Potter of Rogers City, a sister Kerry (Paul) Johnson of Florida; three “daughters” Azra Gajiza, Juliane Kraus, and Manja Herold; sister-in-law Wendy (Dan) Glomski, and brother-in-law David (Kathy) Hilla; and nieces and nephews.
Mindy is in the care of Hentkowski Funeral Home, there are no services scheduled.
Donations are suggested to any Humane Society.
