Timothy Richard Sobeck, 63, of Rogers City, passed away Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, at his home.
The son of the late George and Karen (Newson) Sobeck was born on January 22, 1963, in Rogers City, where he made his home. He graduated from Rogers City High School in 1982. He sailed for Interlake Steamship Company for 20 some years after which he retired.
Tim enjoyed the company of good people and was an avid Detroit Red Rings fan. He loved to get and ride his bike and make his way to visit friends. He was loved by all who knew him.
Surviving is 2 brothers Thomas (Melissa Adams), George (Joanne), a sister Jan (Victory) Lemmon all of Rogers City, 8 nephews TJ (Taylor), Zachary (Jackie), Alex (Hannah), Joseph, Daniel (Erika), Noah (Samantha), Jake, and Sam.
Visitation will be on Tuesday March 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hentkowski Funeral Home, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass with Father Don Geyman officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
Memorials are suggested to St. Ignatius Angel fund.
