Carmen U. Harris , born April 13, 1966, in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Charles Pace, Sr. and Cynthia Webb Pace. She was raised in Linden, NJ, and attend attended the Linden Public School System. Carmen was called home to be the with Lord, Sunday, December 24, 2023 with her daughters by her side. While attending Linden High School she was a member of the Linden High School Marching Band, playing the first clarinet, member of the Swing Line, and Concert Band. Carmen met Tony while attending St. Matthews Baptist Church, whom she married in 1990. From this union there were three children: Charmayn, Ciara, and Cynthia. She worked at Fleet Street, as a data entry processor; Hudson Milestones, as a Teacher’s Aide; and Cosmed Group as their customer service representative.Carmen served as a long-term Mary Kay Cosmetic Beauty Consultant. She enjoyed this immensely, as she had a long list of clientele from family and friends, church members, and co-workers.Carmen was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Edward Ruffin, where she served as a Junior Usher, a member of the Junior Choir, and The Inspirational Choir. She later joined Greater Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend John Teabout, where she was a member of the Praise Team, and assisted with The Women’s Ministry. She then joined Praise Temple Interdenominational Church of God, under the leadership of Bishop Tony McNeill, where she was a faithful member. She was a member and directress of Praise Temple Choir and Praise Team; a Trustee, member of the Liturgical Dance ministry, and was ordained and licensed as a Minister of PraiseTemple. She then moved her membership to Power To Change Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Pattie Roscoe, where she served as the Minster on staff,Trustee, and Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, eating, shopping, watching her soaps, pampering herself, and hanging out with her close friends. She was lovingly called: Carmalita, “G,” Hi-C, and Girlfriend
