Minnie May Patterson, age 85 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 9, 2025. She was born October 12, 1939 in West Liberty, Kentucky, daughter of the late Seldon and Lucy (Lewis) Watkins.
Minnie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved Kentucky wildcats and made it known that she loved everything Kentucky. She enjoyed listening to country music, quilting, and gardening. Minnies pride and joy was her family, in which her house was always open for family to come and go and just spend time together. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Willard "Bo" Patterson; siblings, Henry Clay Watkins, Johnny Watkins, Junior Watkins, Laverne Watkins, Nellie Sue Fox, Alma Watkins, and Judy Gaston; and brother-in-law, Bill Henry.
She is survived by her children, John Meehling, Pamela (Kerry) Harner, and Willard "Scott" (Arlene) Patterson; grandchildren, Tony Patterson (Amber Taylor), John (Angie) Patterson, Kenny Harner, Dustin Harner, Andrew Meehling, Mindy Hartman, Libby Fickert, Melanie (John) Zeller, Michelle (Eric) Drerup, Krystl Harner, Karri (Brad) Lowe, Kandis Harner, Emma Meehling, Lucie Harner, Scarlet McSherry, Jennifer McSherry, Hailey Zeller; 26 great grandchildren; siblings, Etta Henry, Joy (Hardie) Chapel, and Carmie (Phil) Lewis; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August, 14, 2025 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August, 15, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am also at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
