Elder Miriam "Mariah" Howell Johnson
Being ushered in by her husband James Dee' Johnson, her Father William Howel, her Mother Pastor Anne James) Lomen, brothers William (Julia) Howell, Pastor James Howell, Joseph (Bernise) Howell, sister Elisebeth Green, her brother in-laws Joseph Nelson, John Samuel Johnson, John Shirley and Jessie Brown, her sister in laws May White, Benha Strickland, Margaret Vohn) Shirley, Eunice Eddy, Irene Johnson, Dorothy "rose Jackson, and Grace Ramsey. Grandchildren, Sylvester Allen Livingston Sr, and Sharon Lynn Livingston-Allen.
Left to mourn are her loving daughters Pastor Rita Mettle and Marilyn Ahiem. She will be sincerely missed.
She leaves behind a host of 17 grandchildren and 42 grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends, family, and saints. Special friends are the Livingstons and Palms families.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of the Living God pastored by Bishop Handy Seldon. Elder Miriam Johnson went on to get her Elders degree at Mount Calvan, Church UHCA. She held different offices. She was very much loved by her family. The matriarch on both sides of the Howell and Johnsons families, there were 5 generations. She would say to the grands "come here and let me look at you." As aunt Mariah she was loving and encouraging
"She fought a good fight and the battle is won," by daughter Marilyn Ahiem.
Elder Mariah was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in Trenton, NJ. She attended Trenton public school system where she graduated from Trenton Central High School. attending Mercer County Community College, she received a registered nursing dee where she later became a supervisor and assistant director of nurses.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Princeton Deliverance Center, 301 Southard St., Trenton, NJ 08609. Calling hours will be 9am until time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
