Miriam Anne Kollias, born on September 17, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on April 6, 2025. She was a vibrant spirit, known for her artistic abilities, her zest for life, and above all, her unwavering dedication to her family.

A proud graduate of John Paul Stevens High School in 2009, Miriam carried with her an enthusiasm for learning and adventure that never ceased. She was not just an amazing artist, crafting beautiful works with fluid art, but also a sushi connoisseur and a passionate treasure hunter, always on the lookout for unique antiques that spoke to her heart. Her eye for beauty extended far beyond the physical—she had an innate ability to spark joy in those around her.

Miriam was the epitome of love and resilience. Her children were her world, and the depth of her love for them was boundless, reaching "to the moon and back." Every moment spent with her daughters was cherished, whether it was enjoying sunny days at the community pool or casting lines at the duck pond. Those memories were treasures carefully woven into the fabric of their lives, illuminating their pathways with laughter and joy.

In her personal life, Miriam was an adventurous soul. She found solace in the great outdoors, often seeking the thrill of late-night car rides that turned into spontaneous journeys of fun and delight. With a smile that could light up the darkest of days, she made even the simplest moments extraordinary.

Miriam's kindness touched many; she was often described as "nice and good", a guiding light for those who knew her. She inspired others to be better through her actions, showing what it meant to be brave in the face of challenges. Even during rough times, she pressed forward, embodying the spirit of hope and determination.

Miriam's culinary skills brought families together, her infamous potato soup and chicken alfredo embodying the warmth of a loving home. Each dish she prepared was seasoned with care and affection, filling not just the stomach but also the soul.

She is preceded in passing by her father, Michael Kollias; Grandparents, Clayton and MaryEllen Utz, and John and Betty Kollias; and uncle, Geoff Utz.

Miriam is survived by her children, Layla Kollias-Culwell, Aliza Kollias-Mixon, and Ezekiel Kollias; her mother, Judy Kollias; her sister, Rachel Kollias; her aunt, Laura Utz; and numerous friends and family.

While her journey on this earth has come to a close, the legacy of love, art, and joy that Miriam leaves behind will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her. She will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a radiant light guiding us through our own adventures.
