Miriam (Gio) Elizabeth Szuch (née Thompkins)
Miriam Elizabeth Szuch, born July 16, 1937, in Albuquerque, NM, passed away on October 14, 2025, peacefully at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, surrounded by family after receiving Last Rites.
Miriam lived a life guided by faith, love, and devotion to her family. Her deep connection to her Catholic faith shaped her life and the lives of those she touched. She was known for her steady spirit and strength in prayer.
She was the loving mother of seven children: Terri, Alec, John, Nick, Dan, Toby, and Brianne. She was also the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Szuch of Piermont, NH.
A Rosary will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at 10:00 a.m. on November 5, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
