Daniels Family Funeral Services - Southern ChapelRaul Luna Blanco, age 54, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Raul was born on July 18, 1971, to Maria and Herculano Blanco. He was raised in Southern California, where he attended Jackson Elementary School in Santa Ana, Spurgeon Middle School in Santa Ana, and Katella High School in Anaheim.
In the mid-1990s, Raul moved to New Mexico, where he met the love of his life and soulmate, Allison. Their connection was immediate and lasting. Together, they shared 26 wonderful years, including 15 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another.
Raul spent many years working as an Executive Chef, sharing his love for cooking with those around him. Later in life, he began a new chapter as a Boom Operator. No matter the path he took, Raul approached his work with dedication and pride.
More than anything, Raul loved his family. His wife Allison and his mother Maria were the center of his world. Raul had a truly big heart and cared deeply for those around him, often going above and beyond for family and friends in ways most people would not. His kindness, loyalty, and generosity will never be forgotten.
Raul is survived by his loving wife, Allison Blanco; his mother, Maria Blanco; his siblings, Karina, Daniel, and Jimmy; his niece, Kayla; and his nephews, Jake and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herculano Blanco, and his grandmothers, Teresa Luna Trujillo and Teresa Gurrola Blanco.
Raul was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and his faith guided the way he loved and cared for others. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit, love, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, on Friday, March 27. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Raul will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
