Mirna Evelyn Cabrera, lovingly known as Mechy, was called home to be with the lord on November 28th, 2024. Born on September 24th in her beautiful country, Dominican Republic. Mechy was the cherished daughter of Juana Magaly Cabrera and hector Castillo. She grew up with a deep love for her family and a passion for cooking and nurturing those around her. In 1994, Mechy moved to the United States, first residing in New York for a brief time before settling in Michigan where she became a loving and devoted mother to her 4 beautiful kids. Mechy was the epitome of selflessness, giving all of herself to her children, grandchildren, mother, and siblings. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life and she found deep fulfillment in serving others, always ready to offer her time, care, and love to those in need. Whether through her home cooked meals, warm embrace, or generous spirit, Mechy had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Mechy's life was marked by an unwavering devotion to her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She shared an extraordinary bond with her mother, siblings, and extended family, and her love and presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved mother, Juana Magaly; her four children, Eileen, Steven, Emily, and Suzette Morales; and her three grandchildren, Malia, Leilani, and Adela. Mechy's legacy of love, kindness, forgiveness, and faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
