Mirta D Morales Gomez

Our beloved Mirta Morales-Gomez, 78, of Miami, FL, passed away on January 10, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Mirta was born on June 23, 1946 to Emelina and Jesus Diaz in Havana, Cuba. Like many Cubans in her generation, she left her birth country for the opportunity at a better life in the United States. After arriving in 1961, she attended Hialeah High School where she met the love of her life, Ricardo. They wed in 1965 and shared over 59 beautiful years together.
Mirta will be remembered by all for her big personality as well as her loving, joyful and funny demeanor. She lived her life to the fullest. She worked for banks, a large multinational corporation and one of the world's largest insurers. However, if you were to ask her what brought her the most pride and satisfaction, she would say it was being a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She filled her home with warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her husband, Ricardo, son, Ricardo, daughter, Nicole, and her three granddaughters Julianne, Carolina and Gabriela. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
