Mr. Mitchell Jerome Boyd, 58, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Boyd, affectionately known as "Nuddie", was born in Chase City, VA on May 14, 1966 to Mattie Marable and the late Arthur Boyd, Sr. He attended Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed dancing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Marable; two brothers, Calvin Marable, Sr. and Ronnie Marable; and two aunts, Mary Jane Watson and Dorothy Watson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his loving mother and stepfather, Mattie and Paul Marable, Sr. of Skipwith, VA; two brothers, Arthur Boyd, Jr. of Chase City, VA and Paul Marable, Jr. of Skipwith, VA; three sisters, Sharon Crawley of Boydton, VA, Delorse Marable of Danville, VA and Tracey Crawley of Chase City; VA; uncle, Earl Boyd; two brothers-in-law, Albert Crawley and Levi Poole, a host of loving nieces and nephews, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell J. Boyd will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Ella Perkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith-Tucker Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M.
Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
