Mitchell Thomas Farris, age 62 of Linn, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at his residence.
Mitchell was born on December 18, 1962, in Jefferson City, a son to the late William and Clara (Rademan) Farris.
He was a 1981 graduate of California High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Mitchell worked as a chef at various restaurants. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Mitchell is survived by seven brothers, Dave (Brandi) Farris of Jefferson City, Greg Farris of St. Martins, Don (Brenda) Farris of Russellville, Mark Farris of California, Nick (Janet) Farris of Jefferson City, Dennis Farris of Holts Summit, and Daniel Farris of Jefferson City; one sister, Tammy Inman of Centertown; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Anderson.
Graveside Services and Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
