On the morning of Saturday, January 17th, 2026, Donna Viola (Denson) Farris, age 81, went peacefully to see her Lord and Savior with her daughter Stacey and granddaughter Brandy by her side. She was born May 18, 1944 to Tommy Isaac and Grace Viola Denson (Hines) in Oklahoma City. Donna married her soulmate, Billy Dean Farris, December 30, 1966 and they were married for 38 years until his death in 2004.
Donna graduated from Del City in 1962, she served as State President of the Independent Order of Oddfellows for 11 years. In 2015, Donna retired from Mustang Public Schools after 38 years of bus driving.
Donna cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, especially watching old movies together, creating a lifetime of beautiful memories. Her love for Christmas was unmatched. She always decorated the entire house, had the biggest Christmas Village you've ever seen, and made sure there were lights on her house every year no matter what. Donna was a remarkably talented woman, sharing her art with others through her paintings and woodworking. She was a gifted decorator, bringing beauty with her carefully crafted silk flower arrangements. She loved doing puzzles, reading, and watching Gunsmoke. She shared her God-given voice with the community singing in the First Baptist choir for years before developing laryngitis. Her favorite food was a chili cheese coney and an order of onion rings from Sonic. She loved her sweets and who could forget her Coca-Cola.
Donna's happy place was Falls Creek and she loved visiting Heavner, Oklahoma where her family was from.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Billy Dean Farris (2004), her parents and two brothers Dennis Denson and Tommy Denson Jr.
Donna will be deeply missed by brother Harrell Denson and wife Maxie, and sister, Norma Jean Musgrove and husband Rick and Sister in law Pam Denson and Diane Denson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three children; Thomas Brent Brewer and partner Wendy Harkins, Stacey Schoelen and husband Jeff, and Tony Farris and wife Cheryl.
She leaves behind a legacy of love for eleven grandchildren; Taylor Brewer, Courtney Brewer, Blake Allen and wife Bonni, Brandy Knudsen husband Aman, Brent Schoelen and wife Ashley, Miranda Schoelen, Paige Farris, James Farris and wife Maci, Michelle Lee and husband Jeremy, Tommy Clutter, Timmy Clutter and wife Amanda, also thirteen great grandkids; Madison, Ethan, Christian, Harley, Gracie, Paytin, Arya, Jett, Michael, Graham, Lola, Elaina, and Brixton, who brought her endless delight and were her greatest blessings.
