Barbara Ann Percival

September 8, 1945 – February 17, 2026

Barbara Ann Percival, lovingly known as Barb or Barbie, Mom, Pama, and Meme, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1945, and spent her life rooted in Oklahoma, where her love, strength, and devotion left a lasting imprint on countless lives. Barbara was raised on the south side of Oklahoma City. For the first 12 years of her life, she was an only child before welcoming her beloved baby brother, Lawrence "Larry" Harrell. She met Ed Percival sacking groceries across from where she lived. The two married and welcomed two children, Lori Percival Duncan and Eddie Dean Percival. Barbara's greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and deeply devoted grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her brother, Lawrence "Larry" Harrell and wife Jana Harrell; her daughter Lori Duncan and husband Bill Duncan; her son, Eddie Percival and wife Jenifer Percival; five grandchildren, Mandy, Sheena, Jake, Trevor, and Jade; and twelve cherished great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Harrell and Lawrence "Mac" Harrell. Barbara dedicated much of her life to caring for children and supporting families in her community. She found her love for childcare at Betty's Playschool which was owned by her mother and father and later opened Little Broncos 1 and 2 in Mustang, Oklahoma. Leading to her larger success at Westbury Child Development Center. Her childcare centers were more than a profession they were her calling. She poured her heart into the children she cared for, often becoming a second mother and grandmother to many. Numerous children she once nurtured grew up to work alongside her or have her care for their own children a testament to the love and respect she inspired. She took great pride in her roles with Oklahoma Child Care Association where she served as a board member for many years and even president at one time. Even as life changed, Barbara's passion for her work never faded. In her heart and mind, she remained committed to "her kids" until the very end. Barbara will be remembered for her fierce love of family, her generous spirit, her strength, and the warmth she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
