Thomas L. “Tom” Corbin was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 26, 1935. He died peacefully at home surrounded by love on February 14, 2026, at age 90. He was the only child of Ralph and Patricia Corbin. After his parents divorced, Tom and his mother moved to Los Angeles, California, when he was 10 years old. When Tom was 16, he and his mother moved to Arizona where they lived on a ranch near Phoenix.

Tom went to high school and college in the Phoenix area graduating with High Distinction from the College of Business Administration at Arizona State University. While attending the university, he was employed by the Arizona National Guard where he completed his military service obligation.

Tom left the Phoenix area in 1958 after graduating from college to embark on a career in the insurance business which spanned over 50 years. He held executive positions with three insurance companies as well as an international brokerage company. He spent the last 20 years operating his own brokerage company specializing in employee benefits programs for corporations.

Tom had many wonderful qualities. He was generous and kind. He adored his two little Havanese, Susie Q & Remi Lou. He enjoyed fine dining, especially when it included a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. He enjoyed Broadway plays and West Point football games. Following the stock market was a daily activity. He liked watching Thunder basketball, thoroughbred horse races, playing bridge and golf, music by The Carpenters and Herb Albert & Tijuana Brass. He enjoyed life!

Tom married Jo Corbin in 1986 in NYC and lived in New Jersey for 26 years before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma. He had three children from his first marriage, Thomas M. Corbin (wife - Mary Ann) of Santee, California; William B. Corbin (wife - Michelle) of Dallas, Texas, and Cari S. Duncan (husband - Rick) of Castle Rock, Colorado. In addition, he is survived by his stepson, Raif Anderson (wife - Kristen) of Tahoe City, California and stepdaughter, Ingrid Spencer (husband - Michael) of Edmond, Oklahoma. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local animal shelter.

A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11a.m. at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel. To view the service online, click the link below.
