Susan Marie "Schmidt" Roberson

SUSAN MARIE (SCHMIDT) ROBERSON was born April 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas to William and Jane (Bitler) Schmidt and entered eternal rest on February 14, 2026.

Susan worked for and retired from the Department of Human Services for the state of Oklahoma after decades of committed service. She loved traveling the world, hiking and exploring nature, practicing yoga at her local studio, cheering on the OSU Cowboys and Cowgirls and serving her Parish in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, James Weldon Roberson and is survived by her partner, Hugh Tidler; sisters, Betty Peters (Jim), Rosalie Goebel (Robert), Karen Gomez (Tony); brother, William Schmidt Jr. (Marilyn); seven nephews and one niece; son, Angelo Bernard Carballo (Valerie); daughters, Lucia Carballo Oberle (David) and Crystal Gail Roberson; grandchildren, Michel Carballo, Nathan Carballo (Jamison), Derrick Mireles, Aaron Monreal (Jacklyn), Antonio Monreal, Jack Oberle, Paxton Oberle, Alec Oberle, Parker Oberle, Dreamer Zelenka (James), Ambria Roberson, Dalton Eberhart, Camryn Eberhart and Memphis Eberhart; great-grandchildren, Isabella Mireles, Issiac Carballo, Auroura Carballo, Skylar Carballo, Piper Monreal, Jensen Monreal, Ellyott Zelenka, Eastyn Zelenka and Charles Voeltz.

Services for Susan are a Rosary at 6 PM, Monday, February 23 and a funeral Mass at 10 AM, Tuesday, February 24 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 123 South 9th Street in McLoud, Oklahoma. The funeral Mass is followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Cemetery, 500 SW 104th Street in Oklahoma City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in McLoud, Oklahoma where Susan attended and served for over 30 years.
