Mitchell James LeBleu, 77, of Iowa, LA passed away January 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mitchell LeBleu was born on March 30, 1947, to Nason and Ruby LeBleu in Lake Charles, LA. Mitchell pursued a career at Citgo for 44 years as a rigger. Mitchell enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, farming, and spending quality time with his family, which was his favorite pastime, 2nd to mowing his lawn.
Mitchell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Gaspard LeBleu; his sister, Annie Jean DiDanito, and his 4 children, Mitchell LeBleu, Jr., and wife, Veronica, John LeBleu and wife, Shelley, Rochelle Chapman and husband, Mark, and Colin LeBleu and wife, Kristy; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; and his bonus son and best friend, Ricky Manuel.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Nason and Ruby LeBleu; brother, Fred Breaux; sister, Rudy Filson; grandsons, Garrick Deshotel, and Andre LeBleu.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 1 p.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. A Celebration of Life will follow the service. A Gathering of friends and family begins in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
