Mitchell Alonzo Moore, 74, passed away December 16, 2025 after a period of declining health. He was the son of Alonzo R Moore and Virginia Trapp Moore, now deceased.
Mitchell attended A. C. Flora High School and the University of Virginia. He lived and worked several years in Washington, DC before returning to Columbia.
He is survived by sister Susan Moore Gardner and husband Ken of Lexington, NC, brother Marshall T Moore and wife Alison of Gaston, SC, niece Meredith Gardner and nephews Geoffrey Gardner, Gregory Gardner, and caretaker and house cleaner Anne Long.
