Mitchell Murek

Mitchell J. Murek of Albion, NY, passed away September 21, 2025 after a short battle with cancer and after surviving a stroke in 2017. He was 65 years old.
Born in Buffalo, NY, he lived there all his life. He worked as a monumental mason for 15 years and as a department manager at Walmart for 11 years. He loved golf, music, and spending time with his family.

Mitch is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori (Neal), his daughters, Shelby (Joseph) Hosie and Haley (Mitchell) Merrill, his step-son Tony (Laura) Sidari, his brother, Kenneth, and his eight grandchildren, Emma, Tristan, Cameron, Aria, Thomas, Journey, Luca, and Jasper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Diane Murek, his sister, Lorrie Murek-Delaney, and his grandson Leon Sidari. Mitch will be remembered for his love for his family.

The family will receive friends at the Eagle Harbor Methodist Church, 13407 Eagle Harbor Knowlesville Road-Albion, SATURDAY September 27th from 2-4 where his Memorial Service will be held immediately following visitation at 4pm. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Mitch's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, to give donations to Hospice of Orleans, 14080 Rt. 31, Albion, NY, 14411 or to the Eagle Harbor Methodist Church.
