Mitchell Dewayne Williams age 77 passed away at Mississippi Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS on July 22, 2024 surrounded by his family. Mitchell was born September 29, 1946 in Starkville, MS to Gerald and Lila D. Reed Williams. Mitchell was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was a retired owner and operator of Williams Mini Mart and a proud veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force and served two tours in Vietnam as a Helicopter Door Gunner. He was an avid motorcycle rider who loved adventure. Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of 55 years; Ronnie Lee Carden Williams, Mathiston, MS, one daughter; Tracy (Jim) Mercer, West Jordan, UT and two sons; Chris (Tina) Williams, Sherwood, AR and Mike (Sandy) Williams, Farmington, AR, six grandchildren, three sisters; Sharon Kellum, Starkville, MS, Janice McMinn, Greensboro, NC and Patricia (Mike) Pankey, Longview, MS one brother; Lloyd (Randee) Williams, New Port Richey, FL and one sister-in-law; Jean Williams, Seminole, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents; Gerald and Lila Reed Williams, paternal grandparents; Dudley and Evie Lou Williams, maternal grandparents; Daley and Ethel Reed and one brother; Darrell Williams. Funeral Services will be at 1:00PM Friday, July 26, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. Visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2024 from 11:00AM until time for services at 1:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Choctaw County, MS following the service. Rev. Shorty Carden and Kenneth Reaves will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerry McCool, Ken McMinn, Tommy Mercer, Lee Reed, Scotty Reed and Robert Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Johnson, Jim Kellum and Jessie Vance. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.
