Mitzy Louise Cook

Mitzy Louise Cook, 84, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Thursday, June 06, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mitzy was born on January 20, 1940, to James and Margaret (Parks) Ringham in Chaffee, Missouri. She married Gerald E. Cook on January 12, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi.
Mitzy thoroughly enjoyed crafts of all kinds; sewing, crocheting, and embroidering were a few of her favorites! She loved yard work and being outside. Mitzy spent most of her life being a caregiver to others, including her father, sister, father and mother-in-law. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mitzy is survived by her two daughters, Jakki (Leonard) Nimon and Deborah Kimberly (Keith) Hart; seven grandchildren, Jerry (Shelli) King, Dustin (DeLaura) King, Ashley (Travis) Cozort, Brandy King, Bonnie (Corey) Godwin, Jessica (Joey) Vickery, and Jennifer Nimon; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; stepsister, Anita Hopkins; son-in-law, Kenny Foster; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Mitzy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Cook; daughter, Lisa Foster; sister, Bobbie Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bread Shed of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
A celebration of life will be held at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery at 3:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2024.
