Mohammed S. Megahed M.D.

The family of Mohammed Salah Megahed, MD, FRCP, FAAN would like to inform his friends and family and the Buffalo community that the good doctor passed away in peace on the morning of Sunday, March 15th, 2009. Dr. Megahed has been a distinguished neurologist in Western New York for the past 45 years. In addition to a successful private practice, he was a former faculty member at SUNY Buffalo Medical School where he was loved by his students and described as the "venerable teacher." Prior to coming to Buffalo he had the distinguished position of private physician to the Saudi royal family. Dr. Megahed dedicated the last decade of his practice to treating the poor. He will be missed by his children - Hatem, Amre, and Nivine and wife of 55 years, Maie Hathout, and of course his six grandchildren, his daughters-in-law Lule Megahed and Seema Shah, and all those who loved him. Family will be present on Monday from 5-7 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Drive (corner of Hopkins Road).
