Moises Campos, 80, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Roswell. He was born on August 23, 1945, to Frank and Juanita Campos in Greenfield, NM. He attended Dexter High School, where he graduated in 1964. Moises proudly served his country in the National Guard.
Moises was the beloved husband of Florence Campos, whom he married on December 26, 1970, in Roswell. He was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista de Dexter and a participant in the Kiwanis Club.
Before retiring, Moises served as a Teacher and Principal for the Roswell Independent School District for 27 years, where he was admired for his leadership and compassion.
Moises had a zest for life and many passions. He loved his dogs, "Bear" and "Butters," enjoyed reading, watching Sci-Fi Shows and the Discovery Channel, and had a fascination with UFOs and mythical creatures. He also loved classic cars-especially his 1962 Impala, hunting, playing basketball, coaching, guns, collecting flashlights, and knives. Above all, he cherished being a grandfather to his four beautiful grandchildren.
Moises is survived by his son Greg and wife Veronica Campos, and sons Brian Campos and Phillip Campos; grandchildren Gabriel Campos, Alyssa Campos, Matthew Campos, and Xavier Campos; and his mother, Juanita Campos. He is also survived by his siblings, Ruben and wife Francis Campos, Erminia and husband Fernando Sosa; and by his aunts and uncles, Trinidad and husband Deke Thomas, Ismael Campos, and Isaias Campos. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, as well as numerous close friends.
Moises is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence Campos; his father, Frank V. Campos; his sister, Stella; and her husband, Richard Castro.
The family of Moises wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Peachtree, Mission Arch, Gentiva, and all their Family and Friends for their love and support.
Moises' tribute was written with love in his honor by his family, and he will forever truly be missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on November 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM with a graveside service at McBride Veteran Cemetery immediately following. Michael Silva and Sam Chaves will officiate.
