Mr. Moises Vargas-Alvarez, age 65, passed away peacefully in his residence on Sunday, August 24, 2025 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late Jesus Vargas Baeza and Amelia Alvarez Rangel on March 5, 1960 in Tamzula Jalisco, Mexico. He loved to cook, loved chickens, goats, and his family.

A funeral service will be held at St. John Paul on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Juan Jose Teran will officiate the service. The family will be receiving friends and family on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Vargas-Alvarez is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Amelia Alvarez Rangel; children, Moises Vargas Jr, Jesus Vargas, Jairo Vargas, Vicente Fernandez, Fernando Fernandez, and Mayra Vargas.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.

El Sr. Moisés Vargas Álvarez, de 65 años, falleció pacíficamente en su residencia el domingo 24 de agosto de 2025 en Gainesville, Georgia. Nació el 5 de marzo de 1960 en Tamazula, Jalisco, México, hijo de los difuntos Jesús Vargas Baeza y Amelia Álvarez Rangel. Le encantaba cocinar, amaba a las gallinas, las cabras y a su familia.

El funeral se llevará a cabo en la iglesia de San Juan Pablo II el jueves 28 de agosto de 2025 a las 12:00 p. m. El entierro se realizará en el cementerio Memorial Park. El padre Juan José Terán oficiará el servicio. La familia recibirá a amigos y familiares el miércoles 27 de agosto de 2025 de 10:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m. en la funeraria Memorial Park.

El Sr. Vargas Álvarez fue precedido en la muerte por su padre.

Le sobreviven su madre, Amelia Álvarez Rangel; niños, Moisés Vargas Jr, Jesús Vargas, Jairo Vargas, Vicente Fernández, Fernando Fernández y Mayra Vargas.
