Mollie Drietch Richardson, daughter of the late James and Catherine Richardson Jr. and sister of Frank Richardson who preceded her in death, was born on January 19, 1958 at Lutheran Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on September 16, 2025 at 4:15pm at Sinai Hospital. Mollie was called home to receive her heavenly wings for a job well done after succumbing to a lengthy illness.

Mollie received her education from Baltimore City Public Schools where she graduated with honors from Western Senior High School as a Western "Dove". She continued her education at UMBC - University of Maryland Baltimore County where she majored in health. Mollie was an excellent book keeper which is why she pursued a career in Banking and Retail. She retired from Shoppers Food Organization as Lead Supervisor after over 36 years of public service to the community.

She has been a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church since 2016, where she encouraged her daughter and niece to get involved with various youth ministries. Known to her family and friends as the "DIY QUEEN". She was a woman of many talents. From refurbishing old to new, working and collecting power tools, to gardening. She once said " I love the way the earth feels in my hands." A real green thumb. Her most noted talent was an accomplished seamstress. She had a love of travel and cruising to various islands. Mollie was a member and held office of the social club WOTM- Women on The Move. She was very involved from modeling in fashion shows to organizing fundraisers. She was also the designated family and friend baker for countless events with her cakes and other baked goods bringing joy and heavenly flavours.

Mollie had a great love for children, so much that God Blessed her with a newborn baby girl which she adopted. Big Mollie and Little Molly ( what they are now affectionately known as ) loved one another immensely. Big Mollie was and is so very proud of her daughter. She would say being Molly's mother is her greatest accomplishment in life. Her ultimate desire was to see her daughter walk across the stage at graduation and to see her off to college, but God had other plans.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughter Molly Richardson III, her only sister Linda Martin (Ted Martin) ,Sister in love Judith Henderson, Her Brothers James "Jimmy" Richardson (Annette Richardson), Anthony "Tony" Richardson and step brother Nevin Lee (Sherry Lee), Her Nieces Daphne Johnson (Philip Thomas), Megan Richardson, London Thomas and La Quaya Jackson, her nephews Marlon Richardson, James Richardson IV, Joshua Richardson, Zachery and Darrius Kesler, Great- great nephew Kairo Kesler and Great-great nieces Za'riah and Jessica Kesler and a host of cousins and other family members and friends.
