Port Royal, South Carolina - Molly Ann Odom Bootle, 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Port Royal, SC after an adventurous and beautiful life.
Molly, born on January 7, 1934 in Dothan, Alabama, was the only child of Howard Lee Odom and Pauline Gladys Glass Odom. She married the love of her life, Charles William Bootle, August 16, 1961. She is the beloved mother of Earl Eugene Summerford, Terri Ann Summerford and Charles Edward Bootle.
Molly was a dynamic, self-educated woman ahead of her time. She was financially astute and was appointed the chief financial officer of Bootle Air Systems in Beaufort, SC for many years.
She was a voracious reader, a classic movie lover, an antique expert and eloquent story teller.
Molly is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Bootle; her children, Eugene Summerford, Terri Summerford and Eddie Bootle; her grandchildren, Michael Smith, Donna Bennard, Will Bootle and Jacob Bootle; and her great grandchildren, Paige Bennard and Bruce Bennard.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00am at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am on Thursday in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery.
