Molly Cox Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home on Dec. 7, 2025.
Molly Lou Ferrell Cox, born on August 12, 1965, to Luther Fuller and Fannie Jayne Pittman Fuller, passed away on December 3, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends when she went to be with the Lord.
Molly was feisty, honest, and as real as they came. She lived life with grit, humor, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved. A hard worker and fiercely independent, she spent her early years serving others as a nurse from 1984–2000. She was a gifted and compassionate caregiver who took great pride in her work and lived out the oath of caring for others with dignity and heart.
She was loving, funny, and occasionally stubborn, and her family affectionately teased her for being "nosy." Though in public they preferred to call it being "well informed." Molly never met a stranger, loved to talk, and had a warm, friendly way of making everyone feel seen. With her family, she never sugar-coated anything; being honest and straight to the point was her way of teaching them the importance of truth, resilience, and responsibility.
Family was the center of Molly's world. She was the matriarch. The glue that held everyone together, always pushing her loved ones to do their best and put their whole hearts into whatever they did. She could be bossy at times, but it came from a place of deep love and a desire to protect and guide her family.
Molly was also an incredible cook, known for her homemade biscuits, her dressing, and her famous pound cake. She enjoyed sewing and spent countless hours playing Play-Doh with her great-grandkids, often joking that she should buy stock in it with how much she went through.
She loved watching The Price Is Right, and everyone knew not to disturb her during that sacred hour. Bob Barker was the only person she was interested in talking to while the show was on.
To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was "MeMaw," their world, their comfort, and their constant source of love. MeMaw hung the moon in their eyes, and she cared for them in every way possible, right down to doing their laundry and saying, "Let MeMaw do it for you." She loved her children with the same devotion and never hesitated to tell people that her "baby boy" was her favorite, though she always showed equal love to all three of her children.
Molly leaves behind a family that adored her, a lifetime of laughter and love, and a legacy of strength, honesty, and compassion. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide the ones she loved so fiercely.
Molly is survived by her three children; Billy Cox Jr. (Miranda Settliff), Jackie Ferrell, and Janifer Cox, two grandchildren; Elizabeth Troegel (Tedarreis Mays) and Emily Ferrell (Aaron Foster), and three great-grandchildren; Phoenix, Phantom, and Pharaoh Foster.
