Barbara Jean Cox, 87, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away December 5, 2025, at IU Health Hospital in Bedford, Indiana. Barbara was born in Paoli, Indiana, to Louie A. and Norma Jean Marshall Baker on December 15,1937. She married Leslie Farmer Cox on June 12, 1955, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1994.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her three Siblings: Anna Johnson, Bill Baker, and Ron Baker.
Barbara was very active within her church community. She was a long-time member of the Paoli First Baptist Church, where she taught the girl’s Sunday School class for many years.
She was a member of Paoli High School Class of 1955.
Barbara worked at Travelers (Orleans, IN), The Dime Store (Paoli, IN), Wabash Industries (Paoli, IN), as well as Walmart in Paoli, where she retired from.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. (226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN 47454)
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home.
Interment to follow at the Stamper’s Creek Cemetery.
