Molly Totz Johnson, of Concord, MA, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Brant Ture Johnson for 60 years, the loving mother of Kimberly Johnson Rosenbaum and Sean Ture Johnson and the doting grandmother of her seven grandchildren.
Molly was born on January 29, 1940 in Gonzales, Texas to Pauline Stahl and Melvin Totz. She was an exceptional woman from a young age and graduated top of her class in high school. She went on to attend Cornell University where she earned a master's degree in nutrition and biochemistry. She was passionate about food, cooking and nutrition and upon graduation joined the MIT nutrition department where she remained for several years.
She subsequently turned her passion into a career managing the food service at The Winsor School in Boston where she was insistent on preparing all meals from scratch and was beloved by generations of students. Molly loved to entertain and was known for hosting epic dinner and holiday parties for a hundred or more family members, friends and neighbors. She was an avid member of the Concord Runners and completed five marathons, including Boston and Paris.
Molly loved France and together, she and Brant spent treasured times in Nice, visiting for several months every year to enjoy the food, fashion, shopping and simple walks along the water. She was also a lifelong and dedicated fan of the New England Patriots. A little more than two weeks ago, she accomplished a dream when she traveled to New Orleans to attend her first live NFL game and watched her Patriots beat the Saints.
Molly is survived by her husband Brant, her two children and seven grandchildren. Molly's daughter, Kimberly Johnson Rosenbaum, is married to Richard Rosenbaum and lives in Purchase, NY with their children Lindsay, Finn, KC and Harley. Molly's son, Sean Ture Johnson, is an orthopedic surgeon and lives in Chevy Chase, MD with his wife, Dr. Ruta Johnson and their three children Morgan, Mia and Abigail Molly. She is further survived by her older brother John David Totz of Houston, TX and was predeceased by her younger brother Dr. Robert Stahl Totz, also of Houston, TX.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Saturday, November 1st from 5 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her funeral will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, November 2nd at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. Services will conclude with a reception beginning at 1:00 pm at Molly and Brant's home in Concord with a light meal featuring some of Molly's favorite recipes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Molly's honor to the Westchester Medical Center and the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
