Mona Beth Caldwell

Mona Beth Caldwell is now in heaven singing praises to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born on September 22, 1950, she peacefully passed surrounded by her loved ones on January 4, 2025. While her home was in Battlefield, MO, she had been residing at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility for nearly four years.
Mona was born in Cedar Springs, MO, to Virgil and Gertrude Caldwell. The seventh of eight children. She was spunky and sassy, a perfect match for her fiery red hair. Her wit, humor, infectious laughter and beautiful smile endeared her to everyone she met. If you knew Mona, you liked her.
She was a loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law and cherished her role as "Meme" to her three grandsons. She had a deep love for her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family. Mona's hardworking and dedicated spirit was evident throughout her lifelong career in the dairy industry. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and knitting, as well as tending her yard and growing beautiful flowers. Her cakes were legendary-a true treat for anyone fortunate enough to enjoy them.
Mona's beautiful singing voice graced countless church choirs over the years. She knew the line to a thousand songs and shared her love of music with all who would listen. Her life was a testament to her faith as she served her church in numerous ways: teaching children, participating in missions, participating in ladies' Bible studies, singing in the choir, and performing in church plays. She gave generously of her time and talents in countless other ways.
Mona is survived by her daughter, Quincy and son-in-law, Mike Buchanan of Battlefield, MO; her three grandsons: Derrick, Daniel, and Dustin; and her siblings: Virgie and Carl Litle of Nixa, MO, Jim and Judy Caldwell of Laramie, WY, Elvia Caldwell of El Dorado Springs, MO, Cecil and Phyllis Caldwell of Walker, MO, Trudy Caldwell of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Rocky (Virgil) and Jackie Caldwell of Walker, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as Mike's mother, Virgie Buchanan.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Virgil and Gertrude Caldwell; her sister, Belva Beaty; her brothers-in-law: Art Carter, Harry Hankins, and Bob Beaty; her niece, Rhonda Shaffer; nephews, Gregory Caldwell and Jim Caldwell, Jr; and Mike's dad, Rick Buchanan.
