Mona Elizabeth Dove

Princeton - Mona Elizabeth Dove (September 1, 1938 - September 21, 2024) was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devout Catholic. She was born to Madeleine (Danahy) and William Drummond, who raised her in Connecticut and Massachusetts, alongside her sisters Joan McCarthy and Margaret Doran. Mona passed away in Princeton, Illinois at age 86, after living for a while with illness.
Upon graduating from college, Mona taught at an elementary school in Woburn, MA.
She later decided to remain home, to raise her two daughters, Joanne Kotz and
Christine Dove. Among other things, Mona enjoyed playing tennis, cards, and board
games.
Nothing was more important to Mona than her family and faith. In addition to her sisters
and daughters, Mona is survived by four grandchildren - James Dove, Nicole Dove,
Peter Kotz, and Katherine Kotz.
Mona will be fondly remembered by her loved ones, who plan to hold a private service
for her this October.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the American Diabetes Association or Catholic Relief Services.
Mona will live forever in the cherished memories of all those whose lives she touched.
