Mona Elizabeth Horne

Mona Elizabeth Horne passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on October 17, 1930, in Quanah, TX, and spent the last 15 years of her life with her family in Louisville, KY. She was a graduate of University of Oklahoma and was a schoolteacher until her retirement. Mona was a kind, caring and spiritual person, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bud, her son Blair, grandson-in-law Thomas Duffy and her sister Cynthia Thomas.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Horne (Peggy), 3 grandchildren, John Horne (Kristin), David Horne (Lauren) and Anna Fisher (Jon) and 6 great grandchildren, Cohen, Daniel, Louie, Stella, Eli and Evy.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Pearson Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 until time of service.
